Your 4th of July Guide

Independence Day Fireworks

This year America is turning 240 years old. Can you believe it? Neither can we. This means we have to celebrate big! We’ve got a few ideas to make sure this Independence Day is one for the books : )

Things To Do:

Local Firework Shows, Parades & Festivals

There are always tons of fun activities going on during the 4th of July weekend, so be sure to plan accordingly so you don't miss out! Call your friends, family, or even get on the good ole' google machine to see where the buzz is. It's time to get out of our bubble to explore, celebrate, and remember how lucky we are to live in a country where the possibilities are endless!

The Fourth of July is rarely thought of as an opportunity to explore the great outdoors, but one of the best ways to enjoy the three day weekend is under the stars (not limited to just 50). We are extremely lucky to be surrounded by an array of state parks, so why not take advantage of it? Again, it's time to jump on the good ole' google machine, look one up, call ahead for reservations (SO NECESSARY) and get outside this Independence Day!

BBQHave a Picnic / BBQ with Friends & Family

Avoid the crowds and create your own fun at home! Getting friends and family together for a smaller celebration is always a guaranteed great time. From pool and yard games, to home-made goodies and tasty BBQ, it's a wonder why we don't have picnics and BBQ's more often. Be sure to bring something for everyone, and get crafty with some Pitaya recipes!

Here are 3 Pitaya recipes everyone will love...

Did You Know...

  • Spain is 2x older (524 years old), France is 5x older (1173 years old) and Japan is 11x older (2,676 years old) than the United States of America! Feels good to be young.
  • The Declaration of Independence started as a letter to the King of Great Britain explaining why the Continental Congress voted to be independent. Needless to say, this letter escalated quickly.
  • Over 150 million hot dogs will be consumed this 4th of July. We’re hoping to replace those hot dogs with Pitaya one day ; )
