5 Reasons You Want Breakfast
You’ve skipped breakfast, we’ve skipped breakfast, it happens to everyone. Does it matter? What’s the big deal when you can eat lunch early? We have 5 easy reasons why breakfast is a no brainer, and why it should be part of your morning routine.
Breakfast gets your metabolism going. Not sure what that means? Metabolism describes the chemical reaction your cells and molecules create to break down food into energy. Getting your metabolism warmed up with breakfast helps for better food processing at lunch and dinner meals.
Energy! Have you ever tried to start a car without gas? Well, you’re body is the same way (depending on the type of fuel of course). So put some good breakfast food in your belly and be ready to take on the day.
Glucose for your thoughts and brain? You just woke up and your blood sugar level is low. By eating breakfast to regulate your blood sugar level, you’re giving your brain the glucose dose it needs to maximize brain activity. Think about this— how do you feel when you’re really hungry?…that’s a lack of glucose.
"3 Meals a day keeps the doctor away!” Ever heard that one? Simply put, people that skip breakfast tend to overeat the other two meals. We all do it, but it’s not good for you. Overeating is bad. Say it, BAD. Space out your meals and eat what your body needs and not what you want.
